How to become a member

Registered Users of Goostrey Playing Fields make an annual contribution towards the maintenance and development of the facilities. Membership is open to all residents of Goostrey and the nearby parishes (Twemlow, Cranage, Allostock, Over Peover, Lower Withington, Swettenham, Brereton, Sproston, Byley, Lach Dennis, Lower Peover, Toft, Ollerton, Marthall, Snelson, Chelford, Siddington, Marton and Somerford Booths). Additionally, those with close connections to Goostrey will be considered on a case-by-case basis if they live outside this area.

The current annual subscription for a Registered User runs for a full calendar year (i.e. January to December) and entitles Users to use of all the facilities at Boothbed Lane, i.e tennis & pickleball (astroturf), football (grass pitch), crown green bowling and table tennis, at any time except when the Affiliated Clubs have priority time. Following resurfacing the astroturf in 2025, and a general increase in overall costs, the Subscriptions for 2026 are increasing – we hope that you will still consider the rates excellent value for money.

Subscriptions from 1 January 2026 are:

• Adult £30
• Junior (in full-time education) £15
• Senior (Over 60) £20.
• Family (everyone at one address) £50

There are currently active Affiliated Tennis, Pickleball, Bowling and Table Tennis Clubs which have dedicated times and organise various Club events during the year. If you wish to join any of these Clubs as well, then an additional fee (part of which is passed on to the VHPFF) will be payable direct to the Club concerned. Previously there was also a Junior Football Club, and this would be set up again if there was sufficient demand.
